What do we do in a typical weekly meeting?

It's not just a breakfast or a lunch where everybody meets and greets each other, we have a specific format and it helps us accomplish the meeting objectives in a timely manner.

• Every meeting starts PROMPTLY at 7:01
  It's the president's responsibility to get the meeting started on time. Members arrive between 6:30 and 7:00 and start talking and networking.
• Breakfast is served.
  A buffet breakfast is available so nobody needs to skip breakfast.
• We hear from the officers.
  It only takes a few minutes to introduce all the officers and get their committe reports and other chapter business. Then we get to work!
• Speakers
  At each meeting selected members give a 5 minute presentation about their business, or educating us about some aspect of their business. The speakers are rotated so every member gets to speak.
• Showboaters
  Several members are picked to "showboat". Showboating is like a mini-trade show. The showboaters bring samples, displays, photos, whatever they need to show off their business. They also get additional speaking time to showoff the showboat!
• Commercials
  EVERY member gets some time to peak and tell us all about their business. These live commercials are held to 30 seconds or less. It's amazing what you can learn about a business in 30 seconds! Especially when you get to do it every week.
• Passing Tips
  Business leads are written on forms provided and passed during the meeting. Everyone is accountable for their tips. In LeTip a tip is "someone who is waiting for a call from a LeTip member" - no cold calls. If you receive a written tip, you can be sure there is someone waiting to hear from you.
• Have  a little fun
  It's not all business. We have some things we do that make the meetings fun and enjoyable, but also fit within the context of why we are there. When you attend a meeting you will see. Many members say this is the best morning of their week. Not only do they get to visit friends, the come away from the meeting with business in hand.
• Does it cost anything to visit?
  Guests are always free the first time they visit. We buy your breakfast. On the second visit, you buy the breakfast. After that...well you'll probably join us!
